Senior cotton executives have resigned from Olam and Plexus in recent weeks in one of the largest executive shakeups in years, according to a report from Reuters.
Olam’s lead trader in the U.S. Cameron Austin resigned the company after nearly 20 years. He will be replaced by Hank Gray. Additionally, Jean-Marc Derossis stepped down from his role as managing director of Plexus in the UK, a job he has held since 2009.
Both executives are staying in the industry. Austin will join Australian grower and merchant Brighann Cotton Marketing to run its U.S. business, and Derossis will make his next move known this summer.
