If you’re a frequent visitor to Cotton247.com, you’ve no doubt noticed that the site has undergone some fairly significant updates recently.
We’ve been working on redesigning our website for the past several months, and I’m pleased to be able to unveil the results of our labor today. Personally, I think the new and improved Cotton247.com looks great.
But we didn’t set out to simply give the place a facelift. We’ve also improved the functionality of the website. I think you’ll find it easier and more user-friendly to poke around Cotton247.com. You’ll have quicker, more “searchable” access to features like video and archived stories.
You might also notice our social media widget near the bottom of our homepage that features comments about cotton from various sources on twitter. We think that will be a popular feature, as well (and while we’re on the subject, if you’re tweeting these days, give @CottonGrowerMag and @CottonIntl a follow, won’t you?) We’re stepping up our social media presence to coincide with the new site, so if you’re a Facebook user, check out the Cotton Grower and Cotton International facebook pages, as well.
I would like to remind you to keep our progress in mind as you browse around Cotton247.com in the coming days and weeks. I have no doubt that we will be making tweaks to the site’s functionality and look over that time frame. Please bear with us during this time – and also feel free to share your thoughts. The idea, after all, is to make sure our readership is having a good experience while they’re online with us. So if you have any trouble with the site or any suggestions on improvement, please shoot me an email. I’ll be happy to oblige you.
As always, thank you for visiting Cotton247.com. We hope to continue to be your number one online source for news and information about the cotton industry.
